Produced in 2004, the Total Game Overview is the ideal starting point if you are new to the Graves Golf Academy and/or the Moe Norman single axis golf swing. Comprised of 3 different sections, the Total Game Overview will familiarize you not only with the fundamentals of the swing of Moe Norman, the World's Greatest Ball striker, but also in all areas of the short game, managing trouble shots on the course, and how to maximize your practice time.
The sections of the Total Game Overview are:
Little Moe's "A Swing for Life" - (Approx. 1 hour):
This video shows various drills/practice techniques used by Todd Graves and Moe Norman to perfect their swings. These techniques can be used by everyone on the range and course and are designed so everyone can get the most out of their practice time. Many views of "Little Moe's" swing are shown, including close up of the grip, front view, back view, overhead view and many more. Swings are shown in fast and slow motion with overlays and graphics highlighting the many key points of a proper single axis swing. Todd swings clubs from the wedge to the driver. Narrated by Todd, his commentary emphasizes points in the swing to focus on, relationships between the club head and ball, different points to check in the club path, and much more.
GGA Short Game Instruction - (Approx. 1 hour):
This instructional tape features Tim Graves and covers putting (short, belly and long putter with drills), chipping, pitching (from fairway and rough), bunker shots (both conventional and Moe "History Stick" wedge), flop shots, and a few other unique shots from around the green. The instruction gives specific focus points concerning each shot, and drills to help work on each area of the short game. Also discussed are specific "statistics" of different parts of the short game.
Trouble Shots/Course Management and "How to Practice" (Approx. 1 hour):
Two part tape: The first discusses how to play various shots on the golf course using the single axis method. These shots include ball above your feet, ball below your feet, uphill and downhill lie, out of a divot/tight lie, high grass, long bunker shot, punch low and high shots. The second part shows more drills and practice techniques used by the GGA to perfect golf swings. It highlights quality vs. quantity practice, also discussed is the difference between practice A (on course, target like instruction) and practice B (range, build the swing like practice).
